Arnaud DEZOTEUX’s film “The New Kid”, was first shown in the auditorium of the Fondation Pernod Ricard in Paris, on June 3, 2021.

This film was conceived and entirely shot in Las Vegas, New Mexico, on the occasion of the 3-month residency that Arnaud directed in 2019 at the invitation of Mayeur Projects and with the support of the FACE Foundation (Institut français).

On the spot, Arnaud benefited from the technical resources of our partner, the Media Arts & Technology Department of the New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) and the participation of many of our friends and residents of the city, including a very exceptional student: Jim, who you’ll find in the movie.

Starting from no less than 40 hours of rushes, Arnaud carried out an important post-production work in France during 2020, with the help of Fresnoy – the national studio of contemporary arts.
